A school built by community, for community.
From a 20-minute commute to a school of their own.
The foundation of Taganito National High School began during the term of former Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Mamerto C. Galanida. As Claver National High School grew beyond capacity, the need for a new school in the mining community of Taganito became urgent.
On July 2, 1997, TNHS opened as an annex school — a place where students would no longer have to make the daily journey to Claver poblacion. Two classrooms. Two teachers. One community willing to build something lasting.
A timeline of growth.
